Citius, Altius, Fortius

Aiden likes to screech. Sometimes - when he's happy. His new nickname is "Nazgul boy." We've recently developed a saying that reflects this penchant for noise making. You know how the Olympics have their little motto of "citius, altius, fortius" for "faster, higher, stronger"? Well, I'm not sure what the Latin equivalent would be but this is Aiden's motto: " Louder, shriller, screechier."

I have to ask, is the screaming cuter when it's your own child?

In regards to your comment, it's too funny that you thought that was a South Park purse! I really would need and intervention and probably some serious medication if I ever did a South Park purse!! :) And are there 2 things more opposite than South Park and cupcakes? (Well, besides a few obvious choices such as dark and light, and good and evil, and Fruit Loops and Bran Flakes...which really could just be considered metaphors, as could South Park and cupcakes, so I think that makes S.P. and cupcakes at least close on the opposites scale to good and evil.)

Oh, that makes so much sense.

Your mention of the Olympics suddenly gave me this picture of Aiden taking reverse-steroids to make his voice shriller.

Maisy does the same thing. Although she seems to have grown out of it now. But for a while, I think she was fascinated with her own voice and how loud she could make it.

He comes by his screeching honestly. Next he'll be doing your power-claps!

Power claps! Hee-hee-hee :) Good memories...Oh to sing with Claire in the gym once more, and throw a few ear-splitting claps into the mix just for fun!
