Congrats!

If I may,

I think you should have a Naming Contest.

Think how fun and interesting it would be. No boring names. AND it would give you a story to tell little Yushiro how he got his name ;-)

Yay...an excuse for more knitting.

Congratulations! Boys are great. I know from experience. :)

As to the naming thing DJ suggested, Yushiro is nice, but I'm sure you could do better. What about Ludwig or Wolfgang? (Wolfgang Pass... I like it!)

I also throw the following into the Contest:

Ayato
Itsuki
Shinji
Yusuke

There, between me and Aaron, you have PLENTY of choices ;-)

Or now. Some of my siblings were VERY wiggly even before they were born!

You know what?! Brad and I were talking on the way home about names and how we should put up a poll and let our blog-readers determine the name...and then we backpedaled to "at least they can contribute ideas..." ... because if we gave complete naming rights over to the public, we knew we'd end up with something Asian/anime-ish...thanks to a certain reader...:) Not that there's ANYTHING WRONG with having an Asian/anime-ish name...We're just not particularly Asian ourselves and not INTO anime...Heh heh heh.

Yay for Boy Baby!! :D As for the name, some friends of ours (the mother happens to be Asian) named their son "Sun." If he was a sunny child that would make more sense, but he's very serious...especially about his cars. They go vroom very seriously across the floor.

I know all about husbands who don't have air conditioning...oh wait, mine HAS it, he just doesn't USE it because his truck is unable to both climb hills and run the air.

Needless to say, everywhere we both go, I drive. I cannot live in such conditions. :)

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Hooray!!!!!!!!! I'm so happy...

I think it's high time to drag out ye olde potential-cat-name list. Stanley was only one winning choice out of dozens, I'm sure.

Claire said...

Mel- that's a great idea about the cat name list! I can just see it now: "And this is our son Basil!" No- wait- "This is our son Baron Von Munchausen!" "This is our son Thor!" ( Okay- the first two were MY cat name ideas from of old - the last one is Brad's idea for a real baby name idea....sort of. I mean- not seriously but...)

Baron Von Munchausen? Were you watching House Season Two at the time or something?

Personally, I vote for Mahershalalhashbaz (sp.?). In an age when quirky names are in, there's nothing like going retro for ultimate quirkiness. Who could beat it?

And I'm also happy for the new news. I join in on the excitement!

Terribly excited for you, dears!

I second redsox, Mahershallalhashbaz is one of my favorite names. It's definately a winning choice.
