The other day, a package came in the mail from Mrs. Janet Hidden, a friend of our family's from Essex days. She had made this magnificent quilt for Aiden. I was completely blown away! It's so nice, I almost don't want him to get near it, for fear some spit up or other bodily secretion will mar its beauty. But I really wanted to get a picture of him with it...
(He went through quite a bald spell for a while but now his hair is starting to grow back on the top of his head. YAY! Don't know if you can really tell from this picture or not...)
And then we have this lovely family portrait...At this point, he was pretty much DONE with the photo shoot and had descended into wild wailings. He was NOT ready for his close ups, but I think he's still pretty cute anyway.

Awwwwwwwwww. That Mrs. Hidden sure does good work. Love the portrait.
L, for some reason I couldn't get on Flickr - even on Brad's account- to comment about your comment. Yes- I was trying my hardest to resemble an anteater. Forget Aiden not being ready for his close- up...I wasn't ready for MINE!
He certainly is adorable!!!!
Great photos! I love you guys so much!
Those quilts are such a blast from the past! She's such an amazing person!
And your son is cute beyond words!
Okay - I'm quite curious- who is pf please?
That woman is a legend in her own right! May she live forever! My quilt is still intact and being preserved for posterity.
It's soo candid! I love it!
When I saw the first picture, I thought to myself, "Aww, he always looks so joyful! Some babies look happy, for some reason I always think 'joyful' when I look at his pictures." Then I saw the second picture...not quite joyful, but still quite adorable. The little toothless gums! :)
From this angle it looks like he has your ears, Claire. Is that your nose too? :)
SO fun!!!
(And I think "pf" is the mom of DJ and WC)
Amy - not sure if he has my ears - although it does look like it! I never thought of that before. Who knows about the nose... :)All I know is, he definitely has my eyes.
( except mine are brown and so far, his are blue...and I hear that the color is not decided for quite some time. But at least the SHAPE of his eyes are from me...)
Lis- thanks! My mind was working overtime on that...but I think you're right.
Hi Claire. Yes, it's pf here (Pamela Frances). I didn't mean to be mysterious or anything!!
I think the pic of A. on the new quilt is a perfect advertisement pose!!!
AHA! Thanks, Pamela Frances! :)
He's SO adorable! I love him. :-) And I want to hold him. It's funny how much I want to hold other people's babies now that I have my own.
