The Happy Hollisters and Nasty Ol' Punkin

Just wanted to show you my Happy Hollister's "smuggler edition" book...

Also, while I'm posting pictures, I figured I'd pass along this photo of autumn beauty. I think my pumpkin looks a lot scarier now than he did on Halloween. I guess next year I'm going to carve my pumpkin two weeks ahead of time so he'll look extra horrific for the day itself. Originally, he was supposed to be the face of Fluffy Puff Marshmallows ( see Homestar Runner) but now I think he looks kinda like a toothless, malevolent old man. Posted by Picasa

I can see that Stan is showing his literary bend at an early age.

Awww..Stan looks great up there. I love the Fluffy Puff Pumpkin...looks like he had a little too much of the witches brew.

Your pumpkin is awesome!

hehe Yes, that's a scary pumpkin. Give him a little longer and he'll smell as good as he looks! :D

And Stan is very cute peeking over the edge of the chair! Might he be interested in expanding his library.....or sharpening his little tiny claws? :)

so,are the Happy Hollisters just another version of the Bobbsey Twins? Cause I read those in my preteen days :-)

Preteen days, DJ?? Who are you kidding? You know that you hide the Bobbsey twins books inside your anime and happily read away...

DJ- yeah the Happy Hollisters are kind of like a 50's version of the Bobbsey Twins. The B-Twins were originally published in 1904. But then, you knew that, since you have ALL the B-twin books hidden inside your anime...Thanks, Linds!

I am fascinated by "Leobardo" too! But it's the hardest thing for me to say...always comes out more like Leob*garble*do. Or Leobarrrrrdo. Luckily he laughs at me and we move on. Actually, his last name is more difficult. It has two sets of "rr" separated by an "e." So I sound kind of like an engine trying to start when I say it.....RrrrrrRRrrrrr. :)

Ah- I SEE...The Bobbsey Twins box is tucked away- not the pumpkin...Gotcha. Had me confused for a second.
