...to have eggnog! Mmmm...I love this stuff. I was thrilled to glimpse a bottle of said beverage in the grocery store a couple weeks ago. Since it's only around for a limited part of the year, I POUNCED. It reminds me of living with Mrs. B. during my college days. Around the holidays, we would each have a frosty, glass mug full of the stuff as we prepared dinner in the evening...complete with freshly grated nutmeg on top. Ahhhh...nothing like that cold, thick, creamy, eggy, completely unhealthy drink.
I wish I had a nutmeg grater. And a nutmeg...nut...thing.
Today I had a great game of badminton with D.T. at youth group. What a blast! Badminton RULES! Also- had some really fun games of frisbee and fewtboll.

At least we have beavers. ;)
Ooh, I LOVE eggnog! My mom always mixes it with milk to tone it down a little, but I like it straight! I just make a point of not reading the "nutrition information" while gulping down yummy, eggy, Christmassy goodness! :)
awesome...what a beverage. Wish they sold it in stores here...think of me:)
My neice made homemade Eggnog Icecream after she arrived for Thanksgiving. She grated fresh nutmeg into it. Twas very gewd!
Brenda-Jo! Good to hear from you via the blogosphere again! Mmmmm- eggnog icecream!- that sounds DIVINE. Reminds me- I need to buy the ingredients for Brad's annual eggnog fudge project...
Can I have some eggnog fudge? Wow!
Eggnog is for drinking, not thinking about. So chug away!
even though, there are times I wish it was available year round...udccpht
stupid word verification...
Here's an easy recipe for one glass of eggnog, although this is only from memory, and I can't guarantee that it is identical to the original, which was handed down from Grammie B to Mama to me:
beat an egg
salt it
add one tablespoon of sugar
add two drops of vanilla
pour into a tall glass, fill it with milk, and stir
sprinkle with nutmeg
Or something like that. Haven't actually made it in years, but I used to sometimes mix up a couple of glasses for me and Mum ... Yummy!
